Iceland - Highlights and information

I have now been back for a few days and figured I should summarize my Icelandic findings a little more concise. Quick what I learned, found out to be helpful, places to go, eye masks ( they are really important), and other nuggets as I think of them. Logan Airport Terminal E - is great, I always like flying out of Logan, water bottle filling stations not crappy water fountains or super hot bathroom water ( more on this at KEF). Easy to get to, fast security and over all comfortable Wow AIR - http://wowair.us/ They are a new and small fleet airline that get low prices by up charging you for actually selecting a seat, ( you get a seat but if you want one next to your partner then you pay or they just give you a seat when you check in. They charge for water and all snacks on the plane so stock up in the airport before boarding. They are definitely a good option for an affordable flight from BOS to KEF. Your going to get emails about APIS & ESTA if you are traveling from the US as ...

Iceland - Day 11 Glymur

The parking area for glymur is called Botnsdalur, from there it is a moderate hike up. Not a hard hike but tons of shear cliffs and loose rocks leading to a cliff. It is so worth it though, climb up to the top and you can traverse the glacial stream ( barefoot) and then climb down the other ridge. It is now time to pack as it is wheels up from KEF tomorrow afternoon.

Iceland day 4 - waterfall

Started off the day going to an eco village that will not be named as they did not want me to bring focus of their activities to the internet world. They want volunteers to fly to Iceland and help but don't want me to take photos, they turned the lights out on me. From there to Geysir for a water shaft that shoots into the sky. Hike to the top of the hills right behind the water features. ( Do not wear shoes you like, the red mud is wicked sticky and you will be kicking it off for a while). From there to Gullfoss Falls, which is right up the road. Very easy walk to the falls, go down the stairs, do not just stay on the rim. We tried to find Bruarfoss Waterfall but just drove around a community to no avail. It looks cool in pictures and gets good reviews on Google maps. Then we took...
